PlayStation 4 owners who purchased the $119.99 / £109.99 / 129.99€ Battlefield Hardline: Ultimate Edition are unable to play the new Criminal Activity DLC according to reports on Battlelog Forums.
Battlefield Hardline: Ultimate Edition included a Premium pass which provides access to the games DLC. Part of owning the Premium pass is early access to the DLC and Criminal Activity has been available to those players since the 16th June.
Premium members who purchased the Standard or Deluxe Edition of the game are able to access the DLC without problem.
Hardline’s multiplayer producer, Zach Mumbach took to the forum thread to acknowledge the situation but shed no information on what happened or when it will be resolved
First off, I apologize. This sucks. Right now we are looking at all the digital versions on PS4 to make sure everyone can download. Best update I can give you right now.
I can say this is the first big online game we’ve done at Visceral. We’ve got a great team, never made a BF game before but Hadline had a VERY stable launch. That said, you’re right, this is a big mess up that shouldn’t happen. It was a tech issue, I’m more of a content guy so I can’t speak to the exact technical details. I do know we learned a big lesson on this one. We’ll learn from the mistake, use it to improve our pipeline, and move forward with an apology. All we can do at this point.
PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield Hardline are unaffected by the problem.
Battlefield Hardline is available on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
