At Bethesda’s media conference yesterday two of the big items were DOOM and the new level creator DOOM SnapMap.
First, lets take a look at DOOM in all its violent gore and speed. This trailer is just a snippet of gameplay and you can see a lengthier play session in the Bethesda 2015 E3 Showcase at the bottom of this post or watch it on YouTube. Note, DOOM is intended for Mature audiences and as such contains footage which may not be appropriate for some.
DOOM include single-player campaign, multiplayer including deathmatch, domination, clan area and freeze tag game modes and a wave based horde mode.
Bethesda also revealed the map, mode and sharing system they have planned in the form of DOOM SnapMap (40 minutes 35 seconds onwards). During the FAQ at the end of the video, it was hinted at that DOOM SnapMap could, in theory, build the original DOOM game within it. Who is up to that challenge as soon as the tools become available?
