When EA announced that FIFA 16 would feature female national teams it probably didn’t expect the kind of reaction it got from a small group of gamers.
Some took to social media claiming they would no longer be purchasing FIFA 16. This kind of reaction to professional female football players being included in the official FIFA title triggered COO Peter Moore into action where he denounced the misogynistic vitriol.

Comments on the YouTube video EA released are no better than social media channels with sexist comments making up the majority of the first page.
Next week (6th June to 5th July) sees the kick off of the FIFA 2015 World Cup in Canada where women national teams from around the world will be competing against current world champions, Japan.
