Project CARS, the Slightly Mad Studios simulation racer is apparently facing some tough development issues which see frame rates drop down to the low 20fps mark.
The news came via studio head, Ian Bell who made the comment on the official forum. Not only did he comment on the performance of the Wii U version, he briefly reiterated the rumours that Nintendo are on the brink of announcing a new console.
We could reach a fairly solid 30FPS but it might take a hell of a lot of work. On the other hand, about halfway through us finishing, Nintendo might announce a new console (I have zero knowledge on this BTW but I’ve heard ‘rumours’). Our work might just be the best thing that ever hit that new console in the driving sim genre.
Project CARS is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
