Blizzard has taken steps against players using bots in their MMORPG, World of Warcraft. One of the bots in question is known as HonorBot” which farms Honor in World of Warcraft’s PVP modes.
One of WoW’s community manager, Bashiok, Tweeted the definition of bots to remove any uncertainty by players, although many Tweets in response seem to suggest it isn’t as clear cut as they may have liked. Questions around macro’s, Razer and Logitech software which can turn one button press into many.
Botting is defined as automation of any action, not just character movement. If a program is pressing keys for you, you’ve violated the ToU.

On the Battle.net forums, Blizzard released a statement about the bans which will expire in six months time
