EA has confirmed a number of positions at their Montreal studio are no more. EA confirmed the move in a statement to Gamasutra stating
We made a staffing change in our Montreal studio to align with our current development and service plans, a small number of employees were impacted, and we are working closely with each of them to ensure the best transition possible.
One Twitter account may have shed more light on the situation after suggesting that Rocket Squid Montreal itself was closed. This carries more weight as the studio no longer appears on EA Montreal’s corporate page.
