APB Reloaded is making its way PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a Free to Play title in the second quarter of 2015. As a free to play game it will of course have micro-transactions which match that of the PC counterpart.
Playing on Xbox One will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription while a PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t a requirement for playing on PlayStation 4.
The console versions are being developed by The Workshop Entertainment, which previously worked with Tango Gameworks on The Evil Within and worked on Borderlands 2 expansion Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage. Deep Silver, publisher of Saints Row, is also involved as publisher of the console version.
The original developer of the 2010 PC title, Realtime Worlds (also known for the original Crackdown), sold the rights to APB to Reloaded after it went into administration. Reloaded took the title and relaunched it as a free to play title on PC.
