WPTV has reported that a teen from Florida, USA took the PSN outage caused by the Christmas DDoS attack against PSN and Xbox Live to new levels after calling 911 emergency services asking “Do you know about the whole thing that’s going on with the PlayStation Network?”
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Tweeted a part of the exchange
No we don’t know when they will restore service to Xbox or Playstation. Please Dial 9-1-1 only for emergencies. pic.twitter.com/nQCeWEEFP1

After checking with colleagues what the caller was talking about, they recommended the teen call Sony instead to find out more information.
There has been no confirmation that the caller has or will be charged with the misuse of the 911 service.
