Assassin’s Creed: Unity may have been off to a rocky start and has received a large amount of criticism for the state in which it launched. Ubisoft have previously acknowledged this and have a Live Blog detailing what they are working on including the release of the third update since release. As a peace offering, Ubisoft has announced that the first DLC, Dead Kings will be free for everyone. Those that already own the Season Pass will get something even more for their support, a free Ubisoft game.
The announcement came from the CEO of Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto, Yannis Mallat.
To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free.

Games which are being offered to Season Pass holders include recently released Far Cry 4 and the still to be released, The Crew.
The full selection according to their FAQ is:
- The Crew
- Far Cry 4
- Watch Dogs
- Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
- Rayman Legends

Whichever game you decide to claim, it must be redeemed by the 15th March 2015 and is available on PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The system is not yet in place to allow you to claim a game and they have stated that “We will provide an update on how to claim your free game soon.”
The Season Pass is to be discontinued but those who already have it will continue to get additional content including access to Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China.
