Assassin’s Creed Unity released in North America and is due out in other regions during this week. So far, the launch hasn’t been as smooth as Ubisoft would have liked with PC gamers taking to social media and forums highlighting frame rate and crash issues present in the game. So far, it appears that certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations under lie the performance issues with Ubisoft stating that the problems were “not very widespread.”
Ubisoft took to the forums to confirm their awareness of the issue with a statement:
We are aware that the graphics performance of Assassin’s Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations. This should not affect the vast majority of PC players, but rest assured that AMD and Ubisoft are continuing to work together closely to resolve the issue, and will provide more information as soon as it is available.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners have also been raising performance issues with the new assassin release but with less frequency.
