With Halo: The Master Chief Collection releasing in mere weeks (11th November 2014) which includes Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4, Microsoft has released sales information around the franchise. The Xbox manufacturer has announced that it has sold more than 60 million Halo titles worldwide since the franchise debuted on the original Xbox thirteen years ago.
The impressive figure includes sales of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo Wars, Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
Player gaming behaviour has also been released with Microsoft claiming that gamers have played the various Halo titles for more than 6 billion hours on Xbox Live over the years.
Master Chief returns in Halo 5: Guardians and is scheduled for released in 2015.
