EA has confirmed that Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One on the 18th February 2014 in North America followed by 20th February 2014 in Europe and more than likely based on historical rollouts, 21st February 2014 in the UK.
PvZ: Garden Warfare goes full 3D through the use of DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine. The game will ship with 10 maps and support 24 players across three game modes.
Garden and Graveyards sees a 12-player team of plants face a 12-player team of zombies for the control of garden bases.
Team Vanquish (12 vs 12) hasn’t seen any real coverage but the name alone suggests it is a Team Deathmatch based mode.
Garden Ops is a four-player co-op wave based mode. Players control the plants while waves of zombies try to take over the garden.
The game will be released at a lower price point and will come in at $30 in North America on Xbox 360 and $40 on Xbox One.
A PC version is also in the works for release at a “later date” whilst a PlayStation version is yet to be announced.
