Android based console, Ouya went on sale today for $99 and the likes of web retailer Amazon sold out of their allocated stock.
However, Ouya boss Julie Uhrman took to Kickstarter in response to backers that hadn’t yet received the console they had backed aiming the blame at the distribution company delaying the shipping to the backers.
Some of you have not yet received your Ouya, and to you, I apologize. I did not promise to ship to most of you before we hit store shelves. I promised to ship to all of you. I’ve been reading your comments, and we are working to solve this.
Following Uhrman’s comments, Ouya head of operations Ken Stephens informed the backers that they could expect their consoles in 15 to 17 days once they’re shipped from Hong Kong.
